摘要与影响
The increasing focus on toddler screening for ASD accentuates the need for intervention approaches tailored to this age group. Federal requirements for intervention for children under 3 have unique requirements, among them being a special emphasis on parent and family needs, a focus on ecologically valid learning in natural contexts, and interdisciplinary teams, requirements that may or may not be present in intervention models for older children with ASD. This chapter reviews those requirements and reviews the efficacy data for group‐based, therapist‐based, and parent‐implemented interventions for children younger than 3.
