摘要与影响
Osteoarthritis (OA) includes lesions of the whole joint and remains one of the health problems that baffle the world. The pathological mechanism of OA is complex and involves multiple signaling pathways. More than 300 million people worldwide are living with OA, which is a major burden on society. Nanomaterials made of nucleic acids have attracted the attention of the biomedical community due to their small size, ideal biocompatibility, and ability to alter structure. Various nucleic acids have been used as therapeutic agents to regulate the pathogenesis and development of OA. Some of them can enter the cell by themselves, others with the help of vectors. In addition to their high therapeutic efficiency, nucleic acid nanomaterials also serve as carriers for drug transport. This article reviews the advances that nucleic acid nanomaterials have made in the treatment of OA in recent years. It is suggested that nucleic acid nanomaterial-based therapy has a good development prospect.
