摘要与影响
Integrated frequency‐modulated continuous‐wave (FMCW) photonic devices provide a promising route toward compact, fully solid‐state LiDAR systems. By incorporating passive dispersive structures, wavelength‐resolved FMCW architectures further exploit wavelength as an additional system degree of freedom for beam steering or channel multiplexing. Such systems impose coordinated requirements on the laser source in terms of integration capability, wide tuning range, and sweep stability, while most existing FMCW lasers are designed as stand‐alone devices and lack system‐level co‐optimization. Here, we propose an integrable FMCW laser engine supporting on‐chip synchronous linear calibration. A multi‐channel interferometric cavity enables wide mode‐hop‐free tuning range while naturally providing auxiliary optical paths for frequency monitoring. By integrating an on‐chip frequency monitoring module, synchronously frequency tracking and chirp linearization under multi‐wavelength operation are achieved. The demonstrated laser exhibits a mode‐hop‐free tuning range of 105 nm and a dynamic sweep bandwidth of approximately 8 GHz, maintaining stable linearity across successive wavelength sweeps. As a representative validation, the source is deployed in an optical phased array (OPA)‐based wavelength‐resolved FMCW photonic system, demonstrating its applicability in free‐space three‐dimensional sensing. This work provides a compact and integrable laser solution with on‐chip linear calibration capability for wavelength‐ resolved FMCW photonic systems.
