摘要与影响
Being “designerly” refers to how designers solve design problems through synthesising knowledge, design processes and intuition. Designerliness can help designers cope with the increasingly interdisciplinary nature of design practice. However, learning to be designerly can be challenging for novice designers since this involves being open to exploration, risk-taking and failures. While studio-based learning foster designerliness incidentally through crits and creative exploration, more deliberate pedagogies may be required. This codetta raises several areas for inquiry for higher design institutions with respect to their development of pedagogies for designerly formation.
