摘要与影响
Emergencies in industrial sectors have a significant impact on the affected population and on economic and operational sustainability. Accordingly, it is vital for industries to be active in their contingency action plans. Instead of integrating new systems and tools, it is more sustainable to adapt existing systems to manage emergency occurrences. The purpose of this paper is to analyze effective dynamic capabilities for technological implementation for all considered industrial emergency management. Drawing from emerging literature on Industry 4.0 and dynamic capability theory, a technology-based industrial emergencies model was developed. The developed model is tested using data collected from an auto manufacturing sector, and we use the Best Worst Method to test the proposed model. Twelve Industry 4.0 technologies have been considered for this study to explore their dynamic capabilities. For the practitioner’s level of understanding, this study concludes with four essential technological dynamic capabilities for the facilitation of Industry 4.0 technologies in industrial emergency management. Further, strategies that hinder the facilitation of identified technological dynamic capabilities have been discussed. The study fills an important gap in industrial emergency management by analyzing essential dynamic capabilities for technology implementation in industrial emergency management.
