Hot-injection method is widely used in the synthesis of colloidal nanocrystals. The conventional hot-injection process suffers from severe yield loss in the mass production of monodisperse colloidal nanocrystals. The time-consuming standard cooling procedure via long-distance thermal transport results in continuous nanocrystal growth, leading to broad size distribution and yield loss. In this paper, we employed the direct injection of low-temperature solvent as an additional quenching agent. CsPbBr 3 colloidal nanocrystals with highly efficient narrow-band green emission and outstanding stability were obtained. The solvent fast quenching process creates a large instant undercooling, which could sharply increase the nucleation rate throughout the whole solution, leading to the high-yield formation of nanocrystals. Meanwhile, it inhibits the subsequent nanocrystal growth and thus could greatly improve the size uniformity and crystal quality. This mild quenching hot-injection method can be used not only for the large-scale preparation of perovskite colloidal nanocrystals but also for the preparation of other types of colloidal nanocrystals. In addition, the perovskite nanocrystal (PNC) array with a resolution of over 1300 pixels per inch was achieved via a common photolithography method. It also provides the possibility for commercial application in future full-color high-definition PNC displays.
