This study investigates the synthesis of cobalt–zinc zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs) using fast precipitation, solvothermal methods, and post-synthetic metal exchange. By adjusting Co: Zn and linker ratios, the structural and catalytic properties were controlled. Low cobalt-loaded materials showed the best catalytic performance, highlighting the importance of synthesis method and composition in determining catalyst efficiency and sustainability.
