A high-performance PAZIB of an Al-doped MnO 2 (Al-MnO 2 ) photocathode is designed with high capacity (526 mA h g −1 at 0.2 A g −1 ) and excellent stability (96% capacity retention over 1000 cycles at 1 A g −1 ) under illumination.
