Silicon-doped hydrotalcite demonstrates excellent nitrate-to-ammonia electrocatalytic performance in neutral electrolyte (93.61% Faradaic efficiency, 25.71 mg h −1 cm −2 yield) and serves as an electrode material for zinc–nitrate batteries.
