At present, there is a problem of focusing on the scheme and ignoring the requirement in radar system development, especially in complex systems. To solve this problem, the Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) method is introduced into the radar design process. This paper uses Harmony SE methodology to carry out radar system requirements, function analysis, architecture design and simulation verification. In order to facilitate the research, the radar system prototype is first established, and a variety of modeling methods are applied according to the function and complexity of the radar system prototype. The radar architecture design is further carried out, and the requirements of the radar system and subsystems are verified by black-box state machine and white-box state machine respectively. Finally, the simulation verification tool chain is built. The verification of the system working process, which can only be carried out in the system hardware debugging stage in the past, is advanced to the design stage.
