摘要与影响
Agriculture serves as one of the primary sources of income in a developing country such as India. Effective food storage is crucial for achieving food security, which is adversely affected by both food loss and waste. Consequently, reducing these losses will result in increased food availability. To enhance storage facilities and mitigate food losses, this initiative will implement an IoT-enabled monitoring system in remote areas with limited access. This proposed system will monitor and regulate various warehouse parameters, including grain levels, temperature, humidity, vibration, carbon monoxide, motion, and smoke, all of which significantly influence the quality and weight of grains. Should any of the monitored parameters deviate from the established threshold values, appropriate control measures will be activated. The data collected from the sensors will be processed by a PIC microcontroller, which will transmit the information to the cloud using a Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) module. Numerous sensor nodes will be strategically placed throughout the warehouse, each providing real-time updates on the warehouse conditions via Short Message Service (SMS) to a mobile application.
