Impact of social mindset of private entrepreneurs on enterprise resilience in environmental dynamism

In recent years, a series of natural disasters, trade frictions, epidemic outbreak and other emergencies have intensified the dynamism of the business environment, posing potential threats to the sustainable development of private enterprises. 408 Chinese private entrepreneurs were surveyed as the participants. The impact of the social mindset of private entrepreneurs on enterprise resilience was explored, and the mediating role of psychological resilience in the relationship between social mindset and enterprise resilience was examined; furthermore, environmental dynamism was introduced to explore its moderating effect on the relationship between psychological resilience and enterprise resilience. The results indicated that: (1) the social mindset of private entrepreneurs (including life satisfaction, government trust, social equity, and social security) has a positive impact on enterprise resilience; (2) psychological resilience plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between the social mindset and enterprise resilience; (3) the environmental dynamism positively moderates the relationship between the psychological resilience and enterprise resilience, and plays a moderating role in the mediating effect of psychological resilience between the social mindset and enterprise resilience. The higher the environmental dynamism, the stronger the indirect impact of the social mindset of private entrepreneurs on enterprise resilience through psychological resilience.
