摘要与影响
In actual accelerators, various magnetic errors significantly degrade beam quality and machine performance. As a diffraction-limited storage ring (DLSR), the Southern Advanced Photon Source (SAPS) storage ring employs a large number of ultra-high-gradient quadrupole and sextupole magnets to achieve ultra-low emittance. This configuration presents significant challenges during the future commissioning of SAPS: strong-focusing quadrupole magnet misalignments severely perturb the beam closed orbit, while the ultra-strong sextupoles used for chromaticity correction reduce the dynamic aperture (DA), lower beam lifetime, and increase the sensitivity of beam optics, DA, and lifetime to magnetic errors. Furthermore, the influence of insertion devices (IDs) on the storage ring lattice cannot be overlooked. So, we simulate the complete error correction process for the SAPS storage ring. This includes first-turn beam accumulation, closed orbit correction, linear optics correction and ID correction. The results demonstrate that the corrected lattice parameters meet the requirements for beam injection accumulation and stable operation, providing crucial theoretical guidance and a practical implementation plan for the commissioning and operation of the storage ring of SAPS.
