摘要与影响
Livestock manure that is not properly managed has the potential to cause environmental pollution and represents a lost economic opportunity for farmers. This study aims to analyze the application of a manure chopping machine in processing livestock waste into organic fertilizer and its utilization to support food self-sufficiency within the Nailussa’adah farmer and livestock group. The research employed a participatory approach through stages of socialization, intensive training, technology implementation, and technical assistance. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and evaluation of the processing outcomes. The results indicate that the use of the chopping machine improves the efficiency of waste processing, produces high-quality organic fertilizer, and enhances the technical capacity of group members. Furthermore, the program contributes to reducing environmental pollution, increasing income through the marketing of processed products, and strengthening local food security. These findings highlight that the integration of simple technology with community empowerment can serve as an effective strategy for livestock waste management in supporting sustainable agriculture.
