In the power system, the inspection of transmission lines is a very important part. With the continuous development of multi rotor UAV technology and the promotion of market demand, UAV electric inspection gradually replaces the operation method of manual climbing tower. However, in the current environment, the work intensity of UAV pilots is high, and the work environment is bad, especially in the case of over the horizon, it is easy to have accidents, so the development of autonomous inspection UAV has become the main development direction at this stage. Through the research of the charging platform that can be carried on the tower, the hardware structure and the algorithm used are designed, which can realize the charging range and the docking function of the UAV in the independent inspection of the transmission line.
