This paper describes the design and implementation of a model-driven OpenROADM system for Data Center Interconnect (DCI), utilizing standardized YANG data models together with NETCONF and RESTCONF protocols. The proposed architecture unifies the configuration and management of multi-vendor optical network devices, enabling automated and consistent operations across heterogeneous environments. By integrating northbound interfaces, centralized data storage, business logic modules, and a hardware abstraction layer, the system supports efficient automated configuration, real-time status monitoring, and seamless network management. Comparative evaluations demonstrate that this model-driven approach offers significant advantages over traditional CLI methods in interface consistency, batch processing, automation, and system usability. These results support the development of robust, intelligent, and scalable DCI optical networks.
