Dynamic Disease Tracking and Personalized Prescription Recommendation Using Large Language Model in Traditional Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) requires continuous monitoring and adaptive treatment, which static artificial intelligence systems struggle to support. We developed an LLM-based system integrating multi-turn consultation and temporal data analysis to recommend personalized prescriptions. The system comprises patient data management, TCM-guided consultation, and dynamic disease tracking modules. Experiment results of 1,000 insomnia cases demonstrated improved performance in initial case inference, diagnostic accuracy, and system adaptability. The results also confirmed the system’s effectiveness in simulating real-world TCM diagnosis and its potential for scalable, personalized healthcare.
