Research on Feedback Teaching Mode to Enhance Student Engagement Based on Smart Paper-pen System

Along with the emergence of emerging technologies such as big data, many tools have been developed to optimize classroom instruction. Student non-engagement is one of the most immediate and ongoing issues in educational practice. In order to promote student engagement in the classroom, this study analyzes the relationship between feedback and student engagement, on the basis of which a feedback teaching model based on smart paperpen system to improve student engagement is constructed and the effect is verified in a middle school in Guangzhou, China. After measuring and analyzing the data several times with the help of SPSS, it was finally found that following the model for teaching and learning, student engagement in the classroom was greatly improved. Therefore, this study can provide a model and experience for future teachers to apply the smart paper-pen system for feedback teaching in the classroom.
