摘要与影响
Microstrip antennas have tremendous properties over other antennas and are thus frequently used in a variety of applications. The microstrip patch antenna (MPA) has been in use for a long time and has undergone substantial research in recent years because of its metallic patch nature printed on a dielectric substrate. It has various applications like design and production, a planar structure and low profile, and circuit element integration. A standard MPA has a minimum dimension of around half a wavelength. Because wireless systems are becoming more and more compact as technology advances, antenna size must have shrunk. This research demonstrates some of the strategies for shrinking the size of a microstrip patch antenna. The use of high permittivity meta-materials, pins between the patch and the ground plane to add slots in the patch are all examples of downsizing approaches. This paper highlights the primary benefits and downsides of various techniques. In addition, MPA may support dual and circular polarization, frequency agility, large bandwidth, feed line flexibility, and beam scanning Omni-directional patterning. In this chapter, we discuss the types, feeding techniques, and application of MPA over other antennas.
