In this paper, based on the seismic data, seismic, geological data, and field survey data within the area along the Nairobi Malaba Railway (no less than 150 km), the seismicity environment and seismotectonic environment are studied, the specific location and properties of the main active faults crossing the railway are given, and their seismic, geological impact on the Nairobi Malaba Railway Project is evaluated. In addition, based on the probabilistic seismic hazard analysis and calculation models at home and abroad, the paper carries out seismic hazard analysis and calculation of discrete points and important engineering sites along the Nairobi Malaba Railway. It also gives the zoning results of seismic peak acceleration with an exceedance probability of 10% in 50 years for general sites (medium hard) along the Nairobi Malaba Railway. The site seismic data, site response calculation results, and design ground motion parameters of important project sites are obtained through experiments.
