It manifests as inner emptiness, lack of life goals, and low self-worth, negatively impacting students’ academic performance, social interactions, and overall quality of life. Traditional treatments for depression often prove ineffective or yield limited results in addressing this condition. Music therapy, with its unique physiological and psychological effects, plays a beneficial role in improving the mental and physical well-being of college students. Therefore, this paper explores the feasibility of music therapy in alleviating hollow disease among university students from multiple perspectives, aiming to propose strategies to help enhance their mental and physical health.
