Modeling and Simulation of the Power Amplifier for the RHIC 28 MHz Accelerating Cavity

A detailed model for 4cw150000 Tetrode is developed. This model is implemented with PSPICE and verified by design curves from the manufacturer. A power amplifier using this Tetrode is designed and simulation results agree with the design expectations. A simulation model of the RHIC 28 MHz PA system is developed and simulation results are presented. Possible improvement of the PA is explored.
