摘要与影响
Hydrogen energy (H2) is a promising alternative to fossil fuels, with photocatalytic hydrogen production emerging as a sustainable and cost-effective method. However, the development of efficient, eco-friendly photocatalysts remains challenging. Microwave-assisted synthesis offers a better solution by enabling rapid, clean, and energy-efficient fabrication of photocatalytic materials like transition metal oxides, dichalcogenides, and carbon-based compounds. Unlike conventional heating, microwaves generate heat internally within the sample, allowing uniform and precise temperature control. This precise temperature-controlled mechanism makes the microwave-assisted method an attractive technique for large-scale production. In this chapter, we provide a comprehensive overview of microwave-assisted synthesis techniques and their influence in hydrogen production, emphasizing their advantages in photocatalyst fabrication.
