Gysel type unbalanced-to-balanced equal Power Divider

This paper proposes an Unbalanced-to-Balanced (UTB) Gysel type equal Power Divider (PD). Theoretical analysis has been performed to obtain design equations for the PD. UTB equal PD is design at 2 GHz. Based on the design equations, a prototype has been fabricated and measurement has been performed. The proposed PD shows in-phase characteristic. Greater than 20 dB isolation between two balanced ports is achieved. Greater than 20 dB common mode suppression to two balanced ports is achieved. Differential power is equally divided from unbalanced port to balanced ports.
