Design of Aero Generator Voltage Controller Based on Super Twisting Algorithm

The constant speed constant frequency (CSCF) power generation system is widely applied to the aircraft power system for its characteristic of reliability and practicability. Its aviation generator usually adopts the three-stage synchronous generator (TSG), because the TSG has the advantages of high reliability and is easy to maintain. However, TSG is a complex nonlinear system and is susceptible to external disturbances. Therefore, its dynamic performance is difficult to guarantee. Aiming at the above characteristics, the model of the TSG is established, and the super twisting (ST) algorithm is applied to the design of the voltage regulator in this paper. Moreover, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by numerical simulations. The results indicate that with the proposed method, the CSCF power generation system can operate normally and have good anti-interference against the load variations.
