摘要与影响
Translation of cosmetic product descriptions and usage instructions is, on the one hand, a type of advertising text, since websites and product descriptions aim to attract customers and encourage them to make a purchase. On the other hand, it is a type of technical text, with its own structure and specific style of presentation. Therefore, when translating such texts, we deal with two main aspects: promotional and technical. The relevance of translating the instructions for cosmetic products is determined by the rapid globalization of cosmetics market and the active distribution of imported brands.Modern consumers increasingly use cosmetics of foreign origin, which necessitates high-quality, accurate, and comprehensible translation of accompanying documentation, particularly instructions for use 1 .First and foremost, the translation of the instructions has significant social and medical importance, as cosmetic products come into direct contact with skin, hair, and mucous membranes. An inaccurate or inadequate translation may lead to improper use of the product, allergic reactions, or other adverse health effects for consumers 2 .An equally important factor is the regulatory and legal dimension. In Ukraine, as well as in the countries of the European Union, legislation requires that the information on product composition, directions for use, warnings must be provided in the official language. This makes the professional translation of cosmetic instructions a mandatory prerequisite for the lawful circulation of the cosmetic products on the market.
