摘要与影响
This study examines the application of constructivist learning theory to Chinese literacy education and explores its implications for instructional practice and educational policy. Adopting a structured conceptual review and qualitative policy-analysis approach, the study synthesizes theoretical, empirical, and policy-related literature on constructivism, Chinese-language teaching, curriculum reform, literacy development, and student-centered instruction. Major literacy strategies, including Chinese-character recognition, Pinyin instruction, reading comprehension, writing instruction, teacher-directed teaching, collaborative learning, and technology-supported literacy activities, are analyzed according to seven constructivist dimensions: active knowledge construction, prior knowledge, authentic learning contexts, social interaction, teacher scaffolding, learner autonomy, and diversified assessment. The analysis indicates that current Chinese literacy practices contain both constructivist and traditional elements. Explicit instruction, repetition, and teacher guidance remain important, particularly in the early stages of character and Pinyin learning, but their effectiveness can be strengthened through contextualized tasks, peer interaction, reflective learning, formative assessment, and meaningful technology integration. The study also identifies several barriers to implementation, including examination pressure, large class sizes, regional inequalities, limited resources, and insufficient teacher preparation. It argues that constructivist literacy education should not replace explicit instruction but should integrate structured guidance with active, collaborative, and context-sensitive learning. The findings provide implications for curriculum design, teacher professional development, assessment reform, and future empirical research.
