摘要与影响
This chapter reviews research on the new dimensions of trust that must be sought while more and more interactions of individuals and organizations are increasingly conducted digitally and provided research shows what fundamentally distinguishes pre-digital trust from digital trust. It has occurred that one can trust in people and also in technical and technological systems. The analyses on the dimensions of trust show a conceptual difficulty with studying trust in the digital era. However, it was found that ability, accountability, security, and transparency are more highlighted trust dimensions referring to trust in the digital era. The findings allow proposing the digital model of trust. It can be useful for scholars to continue research and for practitioners who might better understand the nature and scope of digital trust when establishing or strengthening it in their organizational activities.
