摘要与影响
Over the last two decades, computing and sensing technology have enabled a growing number of facets of professional tennis performance to be non-invasively quantified. What started as the estimation of in-match ball flight and landing locations through computer vision in the early 2000s has extended into instrumented equipment and player tracking, becoming the norm across multiple platforms. These technological advances have given rise to datasets of increasing value but also complexity, as players and coaches consider how to best leverage the insights presumed to be contained within. This chapter discusses the current state of technology in tennis and considers the implications for different stakeholders within the game.
