摘要与影响
Since October 2007, the Dance-tech project has explored the aordances of the bottom-up architectures of the internet and Web 2.0 technologies for collaborative knowledge production and creative expression by body-based artistic practitioners working at the intersection of dance, performance, new media, architecture, philosophy, cultural studies, anthropology, and science.1 It is challenging to write about a project that is changing as I write, a project that is dependent on the dynamics of internet architecture, and driven both by my own research interests and those of more than 5,000 users. The knowledge producing interactions of these users are enabled by the relational and open potential of databases and aggregation architectures provided by the internet, with its continuously emergent constellations of tags and classications, and exible interactions between layers and overlays through time. This is the “nature of the beast”: Dance-tech dynamically dwells within the networked condition of privileged sections of humanity where motion IS transmission and transmission begets motion.
