The Aqueous Two-Phase Extraction has since been employed for a variety of purposes. These systems can be created by combining various components in water. However, two-polymer and polymer-salt (e.g., phosphate, sulphate, or citrate) systems have evolved rapidly, and much research has been conducted employing these forms of ATPEs. This approach offers various benefits over classic processing procedures, including being environmentally benign, inexpensive in cost, suitable of continually functioning, simple to scale-up, and effective for a broad spectrum of studies, including biomolecule reduction and validation. Because ATPS is an initial restoration method, the inclusion of ligands with high affinity can improve biological merchandise recoveries ratios and purity folds. Covalent attachment of affinity ligands to polymer or modification of polymer with hydrophobic groups. Water, the primary element of the two stages in ATPS, provides an ideal atmosphere for substances for separation and polymers in order to stabilize their shape and biological processes, whereas other liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) techniques may harm natural goods due to the process circumstances and chemical solvents. The goal of this case study is to provide an in-depth review of the ATPE technique and its applications, as well as to compare conventional modes of ultrafiltration with an increase in purity fold.
