摘要与影响
This study aims to examine the relationships among perceived social support, stress, and depression. It is based on a review of the relevant literature and does not include any additional methodology or measurement tools. Definitions and explanations of each concept, established through scientific studies, have been reviewed and presented to the reader. Various studies addressing these variables have been examined, and their reported findings have been evaluated. The findings indicate that stress largely plays an exacerbating role in the severity of depression, while perceived social support has a reducing effect on both stress and depression levels. As a result, it is concluded that perceived social support plays a protective role against stress and depression, which can lead to difficulties and negative outcomes in individuals’ lives. It is recommended that future scientific research diversify samples, include cultural differences, and increase longitudinal studies, as well as examine perceived social support in greater detail within therapeutic processes. Keywords: perceived social support, stress, depression
